Bad Fuel Pump??

Got the tranny fixed, now my baby is hard to start. Once started, runs great. If I "hear" the fuel pump the car starts right away, if I don't hear anything it takes about two turns of the key to get it going. does this mean I should be looking for a new fuel pump?

It may also be your relay. Is it giving you any drivability problems at all?

Sounds like the relay though.

I would check the relay first then, usually you will have drivability problems when it starts going bad.

You may also be experiencing an intermittant ignition switch problem.

especially if your ignition switch is loose like mine and after you remove the key the car still chimes with the door open, and can be stopped by moving the switch with the key out.
Trojan is this as easy as replacing the the key cylinder to fix or does the ignition switch on the column have to be replaced also? In his issue and mine?

Replacing the key cylinder will cure any sloppiness there, but you will still need to install the ignition switch to cure any electrical issues.
