Tail light question

Is it legal to have black tail lights and if so whats a cheap way to get them there plastic paint?

You'll have to check with your state laws and regulations.

You can either Use a spray product called "niteshade" and it's by VHT. Or you could purchase blacked out lights. They replace the stock ones all together.

+1 nite shade works gd u can make them as dark or light as u want

I would use niteshade if you're on a budget. If not then buy the smoked ones, they tend to look a little better and don't fade.

Florida doesn't have a specific law regarding tints on headlight and tail lights that I can find. HOWEVER there are statutes in Florida traffic law that could be of concern with the lights on your vehicle. If they are too dark you could receive a citation for defective equipment as the law states that lights need to be visible from certain distances. This is why most aftermarket lights indicate that they are for off road use only. The reason for this is because it is expensive and time consuming for companies to get NHTSA approval. Most states regard vehicle equipment violations as non moving violations and no points are assessed. The fine on the other hand will get old if you capture a police officers attention.

You could alway get a brighter bulb for the headlights.
