Ill say puttin a damn near close to 800lb BB in a 1/4 ton pickup makes the suspension cry for mercy!..lol

Right, my buddies 74' has a 468BB and it is heavy but wicked. 2 systems it runs low 6's though so they can move though even with the old oval port heads like those

Yes, but that's forever been the way of things.
When you own a Chevy you have to make sure you also have a Ford to get you where you really need to go.

Sorry Steve, I just HAD to throw that in there.

Looks like you guys are getting closer to test and tune time.
It should make for a fun ride for sure.

Oh a wise guy eh?...lol
Yeah we had good hopes of having it in and running by now, but his dad passed away last week and his wife just had twins. He's had his hands full. So it's hard for us to find the time for it
But we both have the motivation to get it done so it won't be long at all
It just better not be faster then my stang OR ELSE!..

Not really, I just couldn't resist the chance to rib you about it.

Wow, tell him we are sorry about losing his dad and congratulations on the twins.
He will definitely have his hands full for a while now.

It has the potential to be pretty quick and that's a good excuse for you to toss on some more upgrades.

We'll have to start scouring the ads on Craigslist and other places then.
What is the preference?

I got lucky a few years back and scored a set of 4.10's on Craigslist, NIB Ford Racing for $100. Then my youngest brother needed a set and........well you can guess how that goes.

That's a never ending dilemma.
I buy the big stuff when the money is available and pick up the small stuff as I can afford to do so.

At least the lift bars are very affordable. I think I paid 180ish for the lowers. Then I fabbed my own t box reinforcments. It's a good idea to reinforce the tboxes with those arms. I could probably even fab you up a set.

That makes you "very good people" in my book.
Giving is much more fun than receiving when you can do it.

The relocation brackets for the arms will need welded in. So I'm sure you'll need some help with them. That is if I can ever get time away from work.lol. they can also be drilled and bolted, but that seems like it would be a pita, but not sure.

Thanks!...it's worth more to me being in a cool car doing what it was made for. Not to sit in a lonely garage on a stand with no future.
Yes I like giving...like when I receive stuff that other people have given me!..lol

Question..mike you said you cut your coil springs one coil to lower it right?..did that affect the ride much?...I don't like how my car sits and free mods are the best mods!..
Anyone have any opinions on cutting them I've never done it before.

The springs were cut by a previous owner. So I don't have a comparison. But it rides a little stiff. But that was after I did shocks struts, sfc, and lca's. But I don't have a problem with them at all.

I have done it before on other vehicles. The trick is to cut the springs identical height.

I do have a spare set of stock springs that trojan hooked me up with. I may need them for the track. But after that if yours don't work out I could probably hook u up.

I read a week or so ago that Ford used 4 cylinder springs on the rear of the 93 Cobras to lower it and give it a softer ride. Maybe that's an option?

Should I trade the 3 cobras I have for some bullets that are staggered with new tires?
