ive been thinking of this option all day lol, will the suspension and the front end be able to handle a 351 in it though? seems like i might have to try and do alot of add ons for it to work, im not sure but thats how it seems. but the power gain seems like it may be worth it in the end
A 351 is a very similar motor .someone correct me if I'm wrong but all your parts will even bolt up.you may have to drill out the bolt holes in the heads.its a pretty straight forward swap.

wow that wouldnt be bad at all, also i found a 351 for $300, might be something to look into. what all do you look for when looking for one and how do you tell wether its not messed up or warped or anything wrong with it?

The suspension will handle it just fine. It is not a lot heavier than the 302, plus you will have several lightweight aluminum parts like heads, intake etc. to cut the weight.
