Any info on this clutch?

MUSTANG CJ PONY PARTS SUPREME CLUTCH KIT T-5 5.0L 1994-1995

Anyone ever use this or know someone who has? Doesn't look like a bad deal seeing how it comes with a flywheel and all the hardware.

Re: Any info on this clutch?

It appears to be a King Cobra clutch with stock replacement compnents.
I don't see why it wouldn't be just fine for stock or close to stock builds.

Yes, it should hold for you just fine.

Re: Any info on this clutch?

I disagree, they are not garbage.
I have used them myself and as long as you do not heavily overpower them or abuse them constantly, they hold up just fine.

Also, a package like he is looking at here would cost him dearly if he went with a Spec clutch and matching components.

I understand that not everyone's experiences will not be the same, but they have sold thousands, possibly hundreds of thousands of those clutches.

I am sure more than a few suffered an early demise due to various causes.
A lot of times, but not always, the failures can be linked to driver error, improper installation, improper adjustment, heavy abuse, manufacturing issues, mechanical failure, etc. etc.
That doesn't mean all of the clutches are junk.

BUT....if you happen to come across a small sticker on any of them that says Made in China, I take it all back and you are correct. They are junk.

I blew 1 up at 550 rwhp. Replaced it and re tuned my car to 650 rwhp and blew 2 up within a month lol. Im sure it will be fine for your power. But if you plan on boosting or adding more power I would recommend the Spec 2 or Spec 1 clutch. Save you a head ache later on.

Nice car btw

With your mods a King Cobra will be more then enough clutch. If you don't have them already be sure to get an HD cable, alum quadrant and fire wall adjuster. All mi K C's had fairly heavy pedals and will break plastic quads, and stock cables..
