Mass air upgrade

Ok so I found a mass air housing I had for like 10yrs, it's a Vortex and appears to be the same diameter as stock with the only viable difference being it has a tunnel fir the meter not the vertical bar with the plate on the back. There is number on the tunnel and a vortex dealer told me it's for 30lb injectors. Does that make sense?

I slapped it on and the car would start and run but not well, so I guess it is.. There is a hex head so maybe the tunnel can be swapped? Not interested in spending much if any cash on this as even 10 yrs ago the housing was free fir me.

Re: Mass air upgrade

That kind of looks like the C&L MAF that uses the interchangeable tubes for calibration.

It looks like the Vortech logo.
If they still make them then their tubes would be the best to use.
