With your current set up it should hold up fine.

Re: Et streets

You buying these just for the track?

If so why not buy some racestars and get a wider tire.

Re: Et streets

Is this for your Mach 1 or a foxbody? You do know pony wheels are 4 lugs and will not fit a mach. If you're going to run these tires on your Mach you shouldn't have any problems, come with 31 splines from the factory.

If you are running these on a stock foxbody rear you are probably going to sling an axle with a good launch. Invest in a set of 31 spline explorer axles and c clip eliminator setup.

It's not like I am dumping the clutch at 5,000 rpm I am gonna be loaded at the at the line and there isn't going to be a sudden shock to the drivetrain Also wouldn't et street absorb a lot wrinkle and then take off

As long as you pre-load the drivetrain before you dump the clutch completely and don't go wild with your launch rpm's you should be ok for a while. That's assuming that someone else hasn't already done those things to the car before. The slicks will cushion the initial blow, but eventually something has to give and either the car takes off or something breaks.

Eventually the factory axles are going to fail. They were never designed nor built to take that kind of abuse and would probably fail even if you never used slicks. Each time you launch the axles twist a bit and as you keep doing that they will not return to their original position more and more often until they finally snap.

Then you should be good to go for quite some time. Enjoy.

Re: Et streets

If my old WS6, with the piddly-*** 7.5" 10-bolt can handle them, you should be fine. The stick awesome. I'm sure you will enjoy, just steer clear of the rain.
