4 speed manny issues

So I bought a 83 and the roll pin broke that holds the reverse fork and shifter rod together.. Any tips on how to get to the shifter rod where I can push a new roll pin in?

Usually there is a top or side cover you can remove to access the internals.
Look up the numbers on the transmission and search online for a repair manual or exploded diagram.

You might want to consider just swapping it out for a newer 5-speed.
Over time you will likely save enough on fuel to make it pay for itself.

Get the numbers off of your transmission so we can see what it is and we may be able to find you a diagram.
There should be a metal tag with the info on it.

Try one of our site sponsors - ME Vendors
Or maybe here - Toploader 4-Speed - if it is a toploader.
