You are supposed to have one but you will be fine without it. You will have more play on the shifter without it.

Either way the pro 5.0 took up 95% of the stock slack and play

If you don't mind me asking, how do you like it? I have the tri-ax and I'm considering either the pro 5.0, or mgw shifter.

I hope not, my tri-ax has seen better days. Think I will give the pro 5.0 a shot.

Re: T-5 shifter bushing

Ditto and plus 1 on never missing third again.
The Pro 5.0 is one of the best on the market.
