Chattering shifter at wot

M getting a chattering sound from shifterwhen wot throttle at higher toms through all gears. Everything is tight. Have steeds tri ax.

You'll have to contact those "toms" and tell them to be quiet.

If your Tri-Ax has steel/bronze bushings where there used to be rubber that would account for noise where there wasn't any before. The steel/bronze bushings transmit more noises than the factory rubber bushings.

If this is occuring after the shifter has been installed for a while, then you need to check the level and maybe change your transmission fluid.
The chattering could be caused by lack of lubricant and heat build up which will eventually kill your transmission.

You also need to check for loose drivetrain components and bad u-joints.

Do you have your shift lever bushing installed. If that's missing it can cause the chatter.

Should a lever bushing have come with the shifter.

Yes they are installed. Is there supposed to be some kind of Teflon bushings that goes between the ball on the bottom of the shifter and where it's accepted in the transmission?

you sure its the shifter, does it sound like marbles bouncing around, could be detonation
