Is this a good idea?

Msd 6Al-2 Ignition Box at LRS - Same Day Shipping!

I"ve heard that putting this in my e303 5.0 would help the acceleration out alot... That and how hard are they to install?

Had 6AL on my 87, looked to be pretty simple to wire up.. The difference in the spark is crazy!

I think you will like it.
I don't know that it will make a huge difference in acceleration, but your engine will start easier and run smoother.
For increased timing accuracy you may want to install one of their billet distributors too.

MSD makes one of the best ignition systems out there.
They are relatively easy to install.
You can get wiring diagrams for your application on their website.
If you are or plan to use forced induction you may want to look at their 6 BTM. It will automatically retard the timing as the boost goes up.

Re: Is this a good idea?

the only reason why im asking is cuz it definitly smells like its not burning all of the fuel but I know my plugs, wires, distributor, coil and cap are all good. I've got the msd blaster coil already.

If you are running rich it may help you burn more of the fuel, but it won't cure your underlying problem.
Check your tune and maybe lower your fuel pressure a bit.
