Love the Sct chip car runs so smooth
Must say I was expecting just a tad more hp but still very satisfied well worth the money and it solved all my erratic idle issues😃

They are definitely worth the money. They will be the tool that ties all of your modifications together and get you the best performance/driveability. Without one, you really are missing out on the car's true potential.

Please feel free to contact our tuning specialists directly to find out what a tune could do your for application! You can call them at 888-226-9764 or via email at bama@americanmuscle.com.

Actually I do have a quick? I talked to my tuner (Shawn) at BnT he said I could still play with the timing even with the chip. He said it was a very smooth curve on the dyno So he didn't mess with it. Any thoughts? Should I mark where it is now and then put it at 14 degrees and try it? Or does the chip totally control it?

You should be able to manually command timing as well, yes, but it really depends upon what timing your tune is currently running. If it is conservative and you are still making good power/the car is very driveable, I would just leave it as such. You start messing with aggressive timing and that's when you lean-out/detonate or just start to have driveability issues.

I would check what the timing is now and go from there!

Do you have an upgraded rear-gear in the car?

If so, that will definitely cause the transmission to shift irregularly, especially if the PCM is not tuned for the gears.

What shift kit is on the car?

Yes. 4.10s I told the tranny guy I had them. I'm going to bring the car in next week. That's the main reason I had the tranny changed, cause of the new gears. It was on its last leg.

PCM. What is that exactly? Does my SCT chip have anything to do with shifting? Seems like it would considering it shifts different in each mode.

Okay, yea, I would just double-check with them that the tranny is set up for 4.10s. From there, you need to tune the PCM(Powertrain Control Module{the computer that controls the car}) to be set for 4.10s as well, because otherwise the PCM will want to shift on the same settings for stock gears. If you upgrade the gear, you have to let the PCM know(via the 4-bank eliminator chip) that the rear gear is not stock and so the shift-points will need to be adjusted.

I hope this helps!
Please let me know if I may be of assistance in the future!

The chip was tuned for the 4.10 gears, only thing new after chip tune was the tranny rebuild. Tourque converter and shift kit are the only things new to the car after I installed the chip. It's outa my hands for a few months. I hope they figure it out. Already 2400 into transmission

Dyno tune. SCT dealer. Got a lead.

What torque converter stall speed are you using? Depending upon what you are running, you may need to have your tune adjusted so the transmission isn't freaking out with the new TQ converter installed.

By your update, it sounds like you're getting a dyno tune. If so, please let us now how it goes and please let me know if I may be of further assistance in the future! Good luck!

Are the wot boxes effective on 95 and older 5.0's I've heard from some people they are for modular cars and from others (very few ) that they can work on our cars..... Anyone have experience in this? They 2 stage launch control would be awesome but I'm more interested in the no lift shift feature..... Any feedback would be awesome

Hey, Dan with AM. Does the SCT chip have any parameters for the auto trans? Can it firm up shifts or changing shift points? I put in a 4r70w trans in my 95 GT and would like to make some changes

The bama chip is loaded with custom tunes for your car..... U tell them what mods u have on your car and what your wanting then they write custom tunes for your specific needs and yes they can absolutely stiffen up and change shift points
