I have one in my 1995 GT w/ auto. I like it pretty good. I have MSD coil, cap and wires, Mac CAI, off road H-Pipe w/ Mac cat back and 3.27 rear end. For me all four settings overall drivability is up along with MPG. Throttle response, shifting is firm and more precise(even on the stock setting).

Mine was with my car when I bought it, and I had some issues with it which I believe came down to incorrect installation. I have a thread in the push rod section called 95 GT questions. If you read through it it details the issues and solutions. Hope this helps.

I have one, took it out when I sent my ECM to be rebuilt and havent put it back in yet. It is definitely worth it if you have a lot of mods. The only real downside with it is you have to send it off to have it retuned, or you have to get it tuned at a dyno shop which would net you the most gain with it.

I can't believe that all of you supported this member in buying a chip online with a non specific OTS tune.

OP, you better find a dyno shop that can tune the SCT chip, otherwise all you did was waste your money.

Actually, he can send it off to bama and they'll tune it... He "didnt" waste his money, it was a neccesary part

With his mods he needs a chip. I hate canned tunes, with that said I have this chip, with a Canned tune and it's pretty good. Do you have this chip your bashing?

Oops actually was double infinity. The chip will be great, and you can always take it to be dyno'd later if you like!

Well I have one, and a thread about it detailing my exp with it and the improvements I realized once it was installed correctly. Like I said if its not quite right you can always have it dyno'd. Either way you need the chip for your combo

Np! Be sure to keep us updated as to how it goes! Remember after the install you will need to drive 20-30 miles the let the ECU relearn the operating ranges

I have a smart attitude because I myself AM a tuner. I've used the SCT pro racers package, Big stuff 3, Megasquirt2, and my cobra is currently running a Moates Quarterhorse.

My comments are from experience. That chip will not fully benefit you without actually viewing the data, and tweaking the tune based on the car itself.

A lot of people don't have the resources to have the chip tuned specifically to their car right away. Last I checked the software to tune the chips is expensive and dyno shops aren't close by everyone. Canned tunes do what they are supposed to do and their is nothing wrong with that.

Re: sct 4 bank eliminator chip

he could have bought the hardware and the software to tune his car on his own, for less than a dyno tune will cost. I can completely understand if you don't have the money to get the car dyno tuned, but do you really think bama has a clue how to tune the CBAZA ECM's?

I know for a fact that they dont. I have personally seen more than a hand full of the abortions that they call "tunes". I couldn't, and wouldn't ever recommend their service to anyone. Even my worst enemy.

If you want a good tune that's tailored to your build, want to save some money and don't have the ability to get to a dyno, then you should consider contacting the guys over at Dirty Dirty Racing.
