stroked 460 swap

I have a 80 notchback and im thinking about putting a 532 stroker in it.....has anyone else done this and if so any advice on trans and gear?

Have a guy trying to sell me an 86 with a .30 over 460 in it. It's got a c6 trans with 3.27 gears and hauls a**.

I was thinkin about a 4.56 gear with a liberty gears transmission but im still in the planning stage so i want to know if there is a better setup that is out there

That's a good choice for transmission just make sure it will handle the torque your engine will develop. The gears may be a bit steep unless you build it for high RPMs.

Are you sure you want to do this?
I ask because it will make your car extremely nose heavy and not much good for anything but straight line blasts.

I researched doing this too and I actually have 4-5 429/460 engines sitting in my garage along with a C6 transmission or two. After much research about installation, handling and actual performance gains, I decided that when I want more cubes I will go with a 351W and bore/stroke it to 408 or 427 CI. It will provide really good HP (1000+ w/forced induction) and my car will retain its handling characteristics.

Yeah im building this car as my drag car so handling is not an issue i am also building a 83 hatchback that is going to be a 351w car
