What size engine are you running and what rpm are you wanting to spin it to?

With forced induction it will work fine, without forced induction it will kill your bottom end power.

That intake doesn't really start to make power until 4000 rpm's. If you wanna keep the motor wound up, go with it. If you due plan on putting some forced induction on it, that intake will work fine.

Thanks everyone for your input I don't know if this is the way I'm going to go. Apparently there are some clearance issues with the hood and distributor, so still trying to decide.

Re: Trick flow opinions

I ran across an article some time back saying the Holley Systemax intake works pretty good for a forced induction engine. You might want to check it out.

I have the Holley Systemax on my NA 306 and love it! It pulls strong all the way to the stock rev limiter. I need to remove the limiter and it should pull to 6500 possibly more with my Anderson cam. It is one of the best if not the best long runner style intake for 6500-6700 rpm. It's only competitor is the Edelbrock rpm II which is almost dead even with it. Both will work great for boost.

I guess I'm looking for something that would give me enough low end to help turbo lag but still have enough flow to work with the turbo maybe a smaller trick flow? Or elderbrock I'm not building a drag car

@redfox that's what I was looking for thanks for the advice I'll look into them both.

Just use whatever intake you want then.
With the new TC systems lag is not the problem it once was.
The Holley Systemax, Edelbrock RPM II or any of the Trick Flow intakes will work just fine for your purposes.

P.S. I'm starting out my supercharged build with a ported Cobra intake (How's that for low buck? ). I'll see how well it does and upgrade from there if I'm not satisfied.

Trick flow track and street heat will work well too its not as big of a deal with forced induction. You could run one of the older edelbrock rpm manifolds too

I don't blame you for that. The cost of the intakes for these engines are ridiculous anyways IMO.
Given my choice I would probaby go with the Sytemax first, the Edelbrock RPM II second and one of the Trick Flow intakes 3rd.
No particular reason for that order, other than I think the Systemax is the best 1st choice and I like the looks of the RPM II over the Trick Flows.
