Torque Converter ?

Ok I'm gonna be ordering my torque converter soon and I need a 2500 stall lock up converter, (I'm not gonna be racing my car it's just gonna be a fun street car) now question is when a torque converter says 2400-2800 stall does that mean that 2400 stall will be the lowest it flashes and 2800 will be the highest , but pending on my motors power range it will flash between 2400 and 2800rpms ?......

Don't qoute me on this but I'm pretty sure it depends on how fast your rpms rise.how quick you hit the go pedal may vary when the torque converter locks up.also it does not grab 100% at once.there is a range before it locks all the way up.

You also need to make sure that your cam comes in around 2200-2500 rpms

The 2400-2800 RPM rating is a rough estimate of where your convertor will stall to depending upon the torque your engine makes in that range.

A rough estimate of your actual stall speed can be had by holding the foot brake and applying the throttle until the back tires break loose. Note the RPM at which this happens and that gives you a rough idea of the "stall" speed (RPMs) for your car.
