U prolly not making 315whp without heads and cam.but either way u should still get good gains.I think the only con would be that u may have to send it in when u decide to upgrade your tunes as u mod.so u will be without for a couple weeks .

I've been seeing a lot of good remarks off the thread. I think I'm gonna order one right now...when I get to the heads, cams, etc. that's when I'll worry about finding a tuner....thanks for the info. Much appreciated.

They don't really make a tuner(handheld)for our vehicles.but like I said u can get your upgraded when you add/subtract mods.

They do make a more advanced tuner option that I can't vouch for but looks good.

My old neighbor bought a 91 lx 5.0/302 and thought the 302 was the horsepower and not the cubic inch, so after gears, full exhaust , throttle body and pulleys he tried telling everyone it was a 400hp fox body haha!!

First off your not bursting anyone's bubble....believe me I know my ****...your buggin if you think I'm pushing 250. 315 might be pushin it a little bit but I'm above 250 for sure....I forgot to write I have long tube headers on it too....a full exhaust upgrade gives you 25hp+ right there...

Sorry but if that's the case I have at least 360 easy. With your upgrades your looking at around 270 to the flywheel.

It's a common misconception to take the advertised gains from all your parts to guess hp.it never works because those are most likely the best gains you will get w/ perfect tune and environment and supporting mods.I am going with the 250-270 guess.

PMS by EFI Systems
+1
The AFM PMS is one of, if not the best piggyback/handheld tuner options for the 86-95 Mustangs. I have one, but have been unable to work on my car and install it yet due to injuries and a long recovery period.

I did a boat load of research before buying one as they are quite expensive, but the abundant tuning options and not having to send in a chip each time I decided to make some changes are what sold me on it.

Here is a list of what they will tune:

EFI-Systems Series 4 PMS 89-93 5.0 Mustang

The most powerful and the winningest Piggy back Computer in NMRA History
And Here’s why.

. Plug n play. No wiring needed

. View screen on key pad monitoring spark timing, rpm, injector function, throttle position, load range, water temp, air charge temp, manifold pressure, mass air voltage.

. Full tuning ability through Key pad (no lap top needed)

. Full sequential stand alone.

. Real time tuning. While engine is running.

. No waiting for flashing or uploading.

. Tuning from idle to 9900 rpm in fuel and timing in 500 rpm increments

. Tuning by boost. Up to 30lb with 3 bar map sensor

. Tuning for Nitrous.

. Tuning by air charge temp or water temp for fuel and timing

. Individual cylinder tuning for both fuel and timing

. Start fuel setting which controls the injectors when the starter is turning the engine over. This gets ride of the hard starting with 42lb injectors or bigger

. Two step rev-limiter

. Two programmable output switches by RPM/TPS

. Stores three separate tuning programs

. 100% more powerful with twin processors than FORD ECC computer

I have no need for it so cannot honestly vouch for it.but I've seen u recommend it so many times and with researching there is nothing that compares to it.almost can consider it unlimited tunability.

Here is a YouTube clip of a 1995 Mustang GT on a dyno with BBK headers, BBK off road x-pipe, Mac Cat-backs, BBK intake spacer, BBK underprice pulley kit, BBK Cold air intake with 3.73 gears , the mustang does 2 dyno pulls, the first was 187.46rwhp / 238.43 ft/torque and the 2nd pull was 190.56rwph / 243.46 ft/torque . That's no where close to 315 rwhp from the mods listed in the beginning of this thread!!

Watch the clip here
