Horsepower

Hey guys! My brother and I have been trying estimate how much horsepower my 89 notch 5.0 has. He is hellbent on it producing about 200 now even with all of my bolt ons. Does age really deteriorate it that bad? I can understand dropping some HP but not that much... Anyway I have a CAI, underdrive pulleys, equal length shorty headers, offroad H-pipe, and a t5. Any input would be much appreciated.

200hp to the wheel sounds about right, if not a little high. Remember that the initial hp rating of a car is based on the flywheel not the wheels. Ive heard drivetrain loss in a mustang is about 10-15% so at stock youd be putting down only about 170-180hp to the wheel. Im no expert tho...just my 2 cents.

Another question....how much torque do they make? We keep seeing 300 online but we both agree that that is really high for only low 200s HP. Sorry for the nooby questions.
