Ok when the fuel pump primes and after I start the car it can sometimes still be heard. That high pitched whine I mean. This is rare and should it be something I should be worried about? Its a 89 gt hatchback by the way.5.0
It should quieten down once it builds pressure.
May be a bad regulator bypassing too much fuel.
You should do a pressure check and see where it's at.
Should be around 38-40 psi with the vacuum line off at idle I believe.
Use your Chilton's or Haynes manual to verify the pressures and procedure.
