T5 transmission

I found a t5 out of a 94 mustang with about 10,000 miles on it. I've been wanting to convert my AOD fox to a 5 speed for a while. Will a tranny from a 94 fit in my 89??

The main shaft is too long and would have to be replaced

+1, you would probably get away with using the 94 bellhousing but shifter location becomes a problem as well as having to shorten your driveshaft.

Be very careful buying from eBay.

Used to be able to get a pretty good deal on swap parts here - MPS

I got my rebuilt upgraded cobra t5 from MPS through an ebay auction. I had issues with the first one they sent and had to take it out and send it back. They did pay all the shipping and fix it but at the time it really pissed me off. It's living behind a 430 HP motor with big sticky tires now for about 900 miles with no issues. Also the rebuilt one I got back has a leaky output shaft seal but again mechanically solid which is what I needed.

MPS has a a t5 conversion kit for 2100 bucks. The one on eBay is 1200. The one on MPS comes with a world class t5 though. I'm stumped. Might have to just save up and get the one off MPS

MPS is trustworthy and will supply you all the parts needed, but for $900 difference you might want to compare exactly what you are getting and decide if you can trust the eBay seller.

Use a 94-95 t-5 bell housing and input shaft u don't have to shorten your drive shaft
