convertible value

I have a question, I have a 93 mustang 5.0 convertible I fixing up. It has issue with the aod trans, no overdrive. Im thinking of swaping a t5 trans in to it and be done with. But will the t5 swap lower the value of the car? This holding me up from fixing the car. What do you guys think?

Not sure how it will affect book value, as it's already low, but the desirability will go up and in the mustang world that's where the value is IMO

Agree with everyone.. Its always depending the driver some want it to cruise but a 5.0 automatic is like wtf.it has a good force engine to enjoy it and have fun with it..so I think the value would even go higher..

Try MPS (Mustang Parts Specialties)
They are pretty well known and respected and they can supply every part you will need.

If you are really concerned about the value of the car, just save all of the AOD parts so it can be restored to original build configuration at a later date.
What you are doing is a "bolt on" modification and as such it will not affect the value negatively because it can be returned to original form easily enough.

Also let me add a good portion of buyers are also searching for STOCK cars, stock foxes are getting very hard to find.

I bought an auto 5.0L and got exactly what I was looking for and what I expected performance wise. Meaning there are ppl looking for auto's too, but we are rare lol
