Changes for 2012

Kay so I am doing some major work to the stang I was thinking time for a bigger cam and a better intake. I was thinking like holly or trick flow. And cam wise idk I want a bigger came more lift I was wondering what size cam is the biggest I can go with my heads(gt40x) and switching to 1.7rr,

thats a loaded question when you add 1.7rr to the equation. you will have to run a slightly smaller cam with 1.7rr. i know if you are running e7 heads with a 1.6rr ".544" is your max lift before you need to start notchn pistons. im not sure on cumbustion chamber size for gt40x heads are. i hope this helps you a bit

So stay with 1.6 rr and go bigger cam, I bin doing research and I think
Make lift is 550

i would just stay with the 1.6 if your planning on a bigger cam. it will make your life easier i.m.o.

I use the gt40x aluminum heads an im using I:6 rr and an e303 cam with no problem

Oops typo meant 24lb injectors.
So ur saying with the similar combo I have ur car dynod around 280

That's what my combo gave me. Mind you that was without a tune i just advanced my timing to 14 deg. I dynoed it before the s/c install to see the difference. With a tune I might've got a few more h.p.

Well I was considering getting a better flowing intake with a cam too i know with a better c/I combo I will over 300

Can't beleive I left that out lol. I use a vortech intake it's similar to the Holley systemax

Why not go with the Trick Flow HCI kit then?
I read where using one of their kits claims 360 HP.
That would put you at your goal pretty easily, no?
