No power?!?

K so i just took my 1983 Gt out on the highway and it was running fine with lots of power. I have a 1975 302 in it. Now when i was on my way home i was at a light and went to start picking up speed and as soon as the car got to 2000 rpm and anything higher, NO POWER! Keep in mind that i was driving for a good 2+ hours. Could it just be too hot? What are everyones opinions?

It shouldn't get any hotter on the return trip than it did on the trip to your destination.
Check all the obvious first, fuel pressure, timing & air delivery.

It looks like the plug wires came off the clips i had them on and rested 3 of them against the headers and they started arching out. Also when i pulled out all my spark plugs to check them, 2 were loose? :/ what could have caused them to back themselves out? (They were all torqued the same)

Sometimes they just come loose, that's why you should check them periodically.
It can also be caused by using a plug with the wrong type of seat.
Example: Using a gasketed seat plug in a head designed for angled seat plugs.
