3.73. Beware though, i went through rear tires like they were going out of style when had 3.73s. I took the rear end out and replaced it with a rear end from an automatic with 3.27 gears.

373 for a dd and only just most ppl are fine with 355s in a dd that dosent see much track time. 373 is nicelly suited for a track ready street car and 410 is optimal for streaght up RACING! But i will add with a 373 and def with 410s one should add a trans cooler and upgrade ur rad to a good triple core simply put the highier the number in rear gear (ex 373-410) the highier ur rpms while crusin so for realibility reasons better cooling may save the life of the hole drive train (engine, trans) also take into account the quality of the gear oil u choose to use some lose viscosaty alot sooner then others.

3.73. Those will be your best all round street gear getting good low end torque will minimizing high end power band loss.

I've got 3:55 and 28x12 drag radials I love them 2400rpm at 80mph and 19 hwy mph with the motor swop to a 5.4 it tops out at 165 at 5400 rpm I could still push it but it gets a lil loose got to up grade suspension but from the hole shot smokin the new gts and g8gt with mods I want to run against a zo6 corvett because the comaro is the biggest joke out there right now with there 500 hp they are like LSU show up to the game big and bad and leave crying. Roll tide nick Sabin drives the game with a 5.0 up his ***

Some foxes came with 3:73 so don't be surprised but you are making a good all around choice but your going to have make a great choice on tires or your going to buy tires once a month you want them to be sticky as hell but not to soft Mickey Thompson makes great drag radials I get about 5,000 miles on them I change oil and tires at the same time

Any ratio is a good choice if you are happy with them.
I have 3.55's on mine at the moment and I have owned other Mustangs with 4.10's.
For a naturally aspirated car that is built to handle some revs I prefer the 4.10's
For a forced induction car the 3.55 or even 3.27's are usually a better choice.

I agree on the 3.73s. I have a set I haven't put on yet. I have to find the right mechanic. I don't do differential work or drivetrain.

Question for the 3.73 users. Like I said before I have a set I have yet to install... Can you tell difference. I guess what I am asking is if there is a huge noticeable difference or is it like installing a smog delete... I know it's there but I can only tell a difference if I'm really trying to. Then it just seems like I notice a difference because I'm looking for a difference.
