Reason I'm asking I'm about to fit a 460/c6 in a four door 1973 and need the room for it to fit. Any details and some pics would be great. Thanks.
You will need to install a front stub frame designed for the suspension and tie it into some type of frame connectors to the rear frame.
The Maverick's uni-body construction and light duty front "frame" stubs are just not very strong and a large high torque engine will probably make short work of destroying them.
You have to notch out and rebuild the strut towers to clear the exhaust manifolds/headers.
