mustang 2/maverick front end swap

Just wondering if anyone has or knows someone who had done a front end swap on a maverick using a mustang/mustang 2 front end. I've read from a few places that you have to cut out the strut towers. Reason I'm asking I'm about to fit a 460/c6 in a four door 1973 and need the room for it to fit. Any details and some pics would be great. Thanks.

Ok thanks. I know the mavericks are a lil older but they didn't change a whole heck of lot. Maybe I'll get lucky with some replies. Lol

Something like that I'm sure not as many people are familiar with as compared to "what shifter is best" etc. But a little time I bet someone can help. good luck.

Thanks I hope so. I know it's been done I just can't seem to get the details. I'm still considering just putting in a 351EFI depending on how much money it would take. I'm wanting a nice 350-375hp driver that's why a four door. It may be alot more costly to do the big block but I already have it. Well thanks again

You will need to install a front stub frame designed for the suspension and tie it into some type of frame connectors to the rear frame.
The Maverick's uni-body construction and light duty front "frame" stubs are just not very strong and a large high torque engine will probably make short work of destroying them.

You have to notch out and rebuild the strut towers to clear the exhaust manifolds/headers.
