Mass air conversion questions

My car is currently speed density I have read about MAF swaps and it sounds pretty easy. Has anyone done it? Does it actually work? Or am I better off getting a wiring harness out of a 89.

Yes it works. See the Useful Mustang Info sticky thread.
You will need a A9L or A9P (manual trans or auto trans) computer and the wiring harness that goes with it along with some other pieces.

I got a wiring harness from an 89 and it was all plug and play but before that one I bought a 91 and that didn't work I had to do a couple modifications because of the air bags that are on the 90 and up in my opinion get the 89
