Stiff Clutch

My 89 is a 5 speed. It has a world class rebuilt T5 and a stage 2 clutch. For some reason the clutch is really hard to push down. My butt comes off the seat each time I push the clutch down. Is there any way to adjust this??

Grow a bigger butt?

When this occurs the cause can be a worn, frayed clutch cable or you could have issues with your quadrant or pedal bushing.
With some clutches it is just the HD pressure plate springs.
There is no way to adjust out of this, you will have to locate the problem and repair or replace the parts causing it.

Not real expensive. Check with American Muscle and LRS our site sponsors.
Look on their ME forum pages for site member discount instructions.

For the cable I would go with the Maximum Motorsports "factory" replacement cable.
It is manufactured to original specifications and is much stronger and better built than most aftermarket cables.

That's the one that requires a aftermarket quadrant and firewall adjuster right?

It requires the firewall adjuster, but you should go ahead and replace the quadrant too if it is an original plastic model.
Here is the Maximum Motorsports Clutch Cable Page
Information and comparisons are on the page.
Click the Tech Info button at the bottom to see the quadrant advantages.
