looking for 94-95 5.0 GT

hey guys i am looking to buy a 94-95 mustang GT, i have a 2004 GT but i think i would like to go to the 5.0 and give it a try. i am looking to see if there is anything to watch out for when buying these year mustangs. and what price range they should be in. I am looking for one with under 100,000 miles, 5 speed and leather. any input is appreciated thanks.

and craigslist is your best bet to find what your looking for. the other day i saw a BEAUTIFUL 94 5.0 that was all stock and it looked like it was fresh out of the fors factory. with just 18,000 Original miles. i thought that was nuts

240 is the Cobra. Most claim it's more like 270FWHP

IMO they have the same HP/TQ potential but more wheel choices w/o modding and they are a little heavier but wider and longer with a higher overall potential for handling in terms of something like a road course. I've had two 95's a black GTS, S means standard which means zero options and noticeably lighter. Current car is opposite, white w/ automatic and loaded. My opinion may be slightly skewed, loved 94-95 5.0's long before I owned one.

Don't get my wrong I loved my 87 a lot. When I bought this one I could have bought as new as 2004 and still went 95..

My 1994 cobra bone stock was 240hp at the flywheel, the 94-95 gt is 215hp at the flywheel and the 89-93 foxbody mustangs are 225hp at flywheel

The one main reason why I love the 5.0 mustangs is they are the cheapest for mods!! And the sound of a cammed 5.0!!!! Speechless lol

My black car was quick for 2.73's and simple bolt ons.. In 04 a buddies 04(true anniversary car) wanted little to no part, and his 97 was a slug by comparison. One new edge I raced regularly was close w/ CAI, h-pipe, mufflers, and 3.55's don't get me wrong I was outdone by a few too.

94 engine code 5.0 gt "T" what i have. 94 cobra engine code "D" and u would be correct about the cobra being around "rated" 240ish hp not to hard to go over 300 hp for very little invested and still one of the funnest cars ive ever had. My gt was rated 215hp at the crank and 195 at the tires stock (i still say thats concervative) but look it up and see what u can find.

Paid 7k w/ 2k cash/trade. Financed 5k for two years. A smudge over $200 per month.
79k miles couple small mods and spotless inside and out(minor accident in front not outwardly apparent) and loaded minus disc changer.

Book was a touch over 6k

When you mod your 94-95 you'll have to tune your car I recommend the sct-4 chip even or the littlest things to get the most out of your mods

For 15000 you get a lot of car . Couldn't build it for that. I have recites adding over 22,000.

I know for my 04 all I needed was a hand held tuner, for the 94-95 you need just the chip or both the chip and tuner?

Yup, but can have up to seven tunes if you want. There is a selector switch
