Tune-up Time

Alright, so if you didn't catch it in the Intro section, my sister just got her first car! Check out the post for pics.
Introducing, ITCH!

The car has 212K on the odometer, which is broken, and has been sitting for at least a year. This is going to be her daily driver so we need it to be dependable. What would be a good idea to change out/upgrade?
Starts, but slowly, so I think it's time for some ignition work.
Radiator hoses are cracked/dry rotted. The coolant overflow tank, well, let's just say a good flush is in order.
The thermostat housing/water neck is completely corroded.

To-do list:
Complete Oil Change
Radiator Flush w/ fresh Fluid
New spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor.

Here's somewhat of a shopping list I have compiled:

Ignition:
1987-95 Mustang 5.0L Economy Ignition Tune-Up Kit by Taylor at LRS - Same Day Shipping!

Cooling and Heating:
1994-95 Mustang 5.0L Radiator Hose Kit, Includes Clamps by 50resto at LRS - Same Day Shipping!
Duralast/Thermostat (15359) | 1994 Ford Mustang 8 Cylinders T 5.0L SFI HO | AutoZone.com
Compressor Works/Water Outlet (814884) | 1994 Ford Mustang 8 Cylinders T 5.0L SFI HO | AutoZone.com

and then tires.

Is this a pretty good list?
All of this together is over my budget, but I'll pitch in if it's necessary.
What do you guys think? Should anything else be added to this list?

Oh! and we found out last night the car already has a K&N Air Filter!
My brother contributed to the effort by supplying his K&N Recharge/Cleaning Kit.

Re: Tune-up Time

Belt is good, but the smog pump is bypassed... which could be a problem when it's time for emissions testing. I guess we'll figure that out when we get to that point.
While the intake is off we're going to clean everything; IAC, MAF, TB, all that stuff.
Power steering fluid is really clean, and after driving a while I noticed it was really quiet.
Yeah, I was thinking fuel filter too, but that may have to wait. Depends on how much she's allowed to spend on it. Thanks, anything else guys?

Make sure to check the egr valve. Mine on my 95 gt was clogged up and made my car run like crap.

Re: Tune-up Time

Change out the Injector O-rings and caps. Vacuum leaks from around the injectors can be a pain to find and it's easier to just replace the seals to begin with.
Check the differential fluid and maybe change it and add new friction modifier.

Re: Tune-up Time

Will definitely look into the injectors.
How do you check differential fluid?

If there is not a plug about halfway up on the rear cover, you probably can't.
Sorry, I'm used to my aftermarket LPW Ultimate cover.
At any rate a fluid change sure wouldn't hurt anything when you can do it.

Yes.the only way to check the fluid is to pull the cover.but the fluid is relatively inexpensive.
