Sounds like one of the injectors is broken. Possibly the pintle broke on one.

It isn't the intake gasket.

You have a number of possibilities:
1. Broken or stuck fuel injector(s).
2. Engine is badly out of tune with a way rich fuel mixture.
3. The diaphragm on your fuel pressure regulator has a pin hole in it.
4. If adjustable your fuel pressure regulator has the pressure set way to high.

See the RJM Injection Tech link in my Useful Mustang Info sticky thread for a fuel injector service kit if you want to start with them. It comes with all of the filters, O-rings and caps for an 8cylinder engine for $20.

You can rig up a momentary 12 volt switch and a injector pigtail plug to test the injectors and see if they are opening and closing. Just hit the switch and blow through them with some compressed air or a rubber hose slipped over the injector and your mouth. You can also clean them out with some carb cleaner while you are doing that. Just don't get any in your mouth.
