94gt ud pulley prob

Recently put BBK ud pulleys on my 94gt and since then my voltage has been jumping all over the place. Anyone else experience this problem and is there a way to correct it? Thank you for any help.

yes very common when using underdrive pulleys.since your alternator is underdriven it is now not charging enough.its usually best to use a high amp alternator.what i did was put a smaller pulley on my alternator to make up the pulley difference.now doing this kind of defeats the purpose of having ud pulleys(at least on the alternator)i only did this beacause i bought the off road accesory drive kit from lrs that came with ac delete, smog delete and ud pulley.i like the look of the new pulleys so i just changed the alternator pulley and belt length and used the rest of the kit.

Thank you for the advise I guess I will just uninstall them when I get the chance. They don't seem to be worth the headache.

You should have the 3G, 130A alternator on your car and the pulleys should not have that much of an adverse effect "UNLESS" you have added other high power draw accessories or you have a charging system problem.

I would switch back to your factory pulleys too. I don't think they free up enough HP to be worth the problems they can cause.
