just a mustang thing?

When I got my stang 2 years ago I was tickled to death. My first muscle car. I got to the point where where I started wanting more power so last year I did a couple small things to it had a gear installed along with exhaust and was like Dang it def has woke up. Well now I'm at that point again. I don't wanna say I'm bored cause I love my stang but I want more so that's why I ordered all the parts that I listed in last weeks thread. I was just wondering how many of you guys are like this. Lol its like once you get used to your car again it just feels slooowww.

Yeah one thing my dad always taught me was no matter how much you get used to your car don't never lose fear of it. Whether its a Ford escort or a super snake they can all kill ya the same way. I always have respect for the car that I'm in.

Re: just a mustang thing?

Most of us have that affliction.
The scientific name is - Mustangus Needus Maximumus Upgradicus

The description is - An affectation of the entire being of most Mustang owners which constantly drives them to continually improve and modify their Mustangs to achieve maximum horsepower and handling for their chosen performance venue. This affliction is not easily overcome and usually leads to uncontrollable spending on performance parts and visual upgrades for their Mustangs. It can take years and insane amounts of money to bring this affliction under control once it has taken hold in the person afflicted.

Warning!: Do not get in their way or try to interfere with their quest. The best treatment for them is to try and assist them in the achievement of their goals while under the influence of this affliction.

I understand and I will pray for you to recover quickly.
I just had another relapse myself earlier this last week.
Thankfully it wasn't too expensive this time, but you never know when it hits you how much you might be forced to spend.

I remember reading somewhere that the mustang was the most modified car ever. Not hard to believe.

It will be a bit but I'm thinking a hood next. My mini me has a birthday coming soon though which trumps all for me. I've had go with minimal show twice before, going TI finish up looks then work on going a lil faster. Kinda want to do all the suspension mods before going towards more power

I know what you mean. I already have my suspension pretty well maxed out as far as not breaking the bank. Power I'm happy with I'd just like to get it looking good. I know all about the mini me, there is a pic of mine in my pics on here.

I've changed my shocks already.but I plan on doing my lac's at the same time I get more ponies.then ill add subframes after I do my motor.I want to do the motor before I get to crazy on the suspension so I can get a feel of how much suspension work is required.but hey who knows maybe I won't need to my work with upgrades I've done already.just my opinion though.

Most mustang projects are never complete.that's the fun of them.mustang love!

My problem is each purchase justifies a huge increase in costs on the next one.

First- antenna.

Then. Exhaust.

Then. Fascia/grille/splitters/

Then. Wheels/tires.

And I keep looking daily as superchargers. How did I go from an antenna to that? Like every day.

I spend hours looking at freakin car parts... Not adult content. And I can't stop spending money!!!!!

What the hell is wrong with me....
