I would check late model restoration. Once you meet a certain criteria you can get a futon member discount. I believe that is having 50 posts, but check out the sticky thread under support sponsors.the top itself is around 150 but the whole kit is in the 250-300 range.the whole kit may or may not be required.the kit comes with pads and stuff like that.what I would do is see what comes in the kit and check those pieces to see if they are bad.the pads go between the top and the frame.it is a pretty difficult process to install yourself, but it is doable as long as you take your time and follow the directions to a t.I would recommend buying the how to DVD.lrs has that also.if you pay to have it installed it could range from .400- 800. You have to check your local shops.

I had no problems with the one LRS sells.I believe its electon.if you do it yourself I sell recommended getting a power stapler.I can't remember the exact amount but it took me probably 500+ staples.and a normal manual stapler(even a good one) is not really strong enough.and watch the video all the way through, even twice before you start.also what I did was set up a tv and DVD player in the garage to refernce while I was installing.

Re: Convertible Top Prices?,.

If you shop around you can probably find a good deal at a local upholstery shop if you don't feel comfortable doing the work yourself. I found a few shops down here that will do the top, with installation, for $800 on my 90.
