351w in an 85 mustang with a carb and fuel regulator

351w in an 85 mustang with electric in tank fuel pump..what kind of distributor do I need?

R u runnin a return line with that fuel pump I always did if it was a fuel injected fuel pump. But I would buy an msd dist

Yeah I am running a return line..just wondering mechanical or electronic..probably need Vaccum advance

Go with the MSD ignition and distributor.You will be glad you did.


Are you running an EFI in tank pump on a carbureted engine?
If so you would probably be better off removing it, changing out the pickup tubes in the tank and running a Holley Blue carbureted external electric fuel pump.

The fuel pump will work for now but I'd u go with nos it want u can use a stock distributer but if I save Money on fuel pump setup I would put in msd box and dust. like around here u can get both use for $100 a pieace

Yeah I wanted to get a pickup and inline electric fuel pump as soon as I have money...I just figured the dist is a need because I don't have one for my Windsor ....but its a CFI fuel pump so I was told they don't pump as much as an EFI pump so I just got a regulator for it
