Any thoughts on LMR's wire in speed correctors? I'd hate to spend 130 bucks on one for my car and it not work right

If it is this one - Ford Racing Speed-Dial Speedometer Adjuster/Calibrator - it should work just fine. It's made by Ford for Fords, so surely they got it right.

Looks like you need a 20 Tooth, Orange, C8SZ-B gear by the chart.

I think I'll go that route vs taking my tranny tail shaft out and changing both fears plus it can be installed under the hood with VSS wire and 12V switched source all in one place

Even though it's a bit expensive, I agree, I would do the same.

Note: That is supposed to be a Ford chart, but ask the salesman wherever you get the gear to verify it.
I'd hate to have you buy the gear and find out it is wrong.

I'll just tell her 130 is cheaper than the ticket I'll get for speeding when I think I'm not!

Yeah, ultimatums never work out well in relationships.
But sometimes they are worth the end results if it isn't working out well.

I never thought about trying something like that.
I'll have to store that in my bag of tricks in case the occasion to use it ever arises.
