Sounds like a common miss understanding. You should put some pics up of your 93. I'm guessing it's a hatch?

Yeah its a hatch. This is from when I bought it. I posted pics on a thread a while ago but oh well lol. I need to paint it, put new motor mounts, reinforce the torque box, find a short in the tail lights, need new shocks, buy 2 new rims and studs for the rear wheels because half of em snapped off, need tires all around, and needs a side pipe custom made to match the other one. I've been without a job so I haven't been able to do much. I bought the motor mounts torque box and shocks. Itssomewhat of a project but its my first car

Takes time can't rush a project haha looks good though. My first car was a 93lx 2.3L haha was doing a 4.6 swap with it till I came across some other cars. You'll get her there someday just don't rush things.

Love the hood tho

It all depends on how it's done, and the cop who pulls you over. The covers are to be taken off at night, most lenses you buy will be legal since they will not go over a specific %. Tail light are the same way. Also the hood you have my get the cops attention anything over 3 inches is clamed to block the drivers view. I am not saying you cant drive with the 5 in hood and smoked out lights, but remember you may stand out more to cops. If you do get a ticket you can take it to court and show them you fixed the problem so keep original if you have room.

I wasn't aware about the hood possibly being illegal. Thanks. I don't have the original hood though

Most states only allow 3 in but run the one u have till it causes a big problem no need to switch unless it draws attention to cops

I'm not gonna waste the money switching. My high rise intake barely fits and I don't want to have to buy a new intake and hood

Most of the time all u have to do is show the courts in 30 days that u fixed what the ticket is for. So dont think u have to chane it now. I have smoked headlights on my car. Getting ready to smoke the tail lifhts and 3rd brake light. The only good thing for me is i know most the cops and I live in NJ with texas tags so cops dont know all the texas laws. Thanks to the military( my employment) i dont have to change the tags on my car if i dont want to.
