Oil dipstick tube help

So i got my motor in and realized it didnt have a dipstick ....got a lil excited putting it in and didnt even notice it. But i went to autozone and got one and it seems the tube is almost bigger than the hole in the block and it isnt in the shape of an s or similar like.i. think os.supposed to.be.on it.any advice? ???????? It takes an act of god.to even begin to put tu e in block

if u have a grinder... just lightly graze it all the way around. just do a tiny bit at a time...its easy to take off, but u cant put it back...lol. keep in mind u want if fairly snug, so u dont have to take much off to get it to fit.

or go to junk yard. mine came off of an f-150, went in like butter and mounted very well...

Well i been reading about this situation ive got into and realized the motor i bought is super slow so i guess ill end up w the worlds slowest 5.0 and the ****tiest sounding one i put a 5.0 from an 87 lincoln tc in it i found for 350 that had 70000 miles and it is no way shape or form fast and im bout to just say screw it and pull the motor out and scrap the whole project lol its not what i thought it was going to be lol

no, no, no, no...dont do that. the main differnce is the pistons... there's most likely no valve reliefs... but u still got enough room to run an e-cam or a lil bigger. dont scrap it dude.. u got the gold mine. u got a motor dat sum yahoo wasnt yankn 6k shifts five days a week.... wut all u planing to do?

I just wanted a stock car to start w its my first build .. i grew up a chevy boy and dad died 2 years ago and im trying to do my thing w my son my dad was a mechanic and hated fords lol and i bought this car and w motor and everything have jus shy of 1800 in the whole thing its got headers an x pipe and open air filter nothing special new clutch flywheel / starter but my brackets are all.different on it ill have an alternator on the wrong side lol and the list goes on and i recently. (Jan ) got laid off and just wanna drive this thing beins my trucka get bad fuel mileage id like for it to.be strong but this car lacks alot of power and idk if it will even burn the tires lol course i have an exhaust leak still and check engine light on and it dont run real hard for some reason but idk a cam is a big job and alot of money i may just cover it up and maybe overhaulin will.come steal it

i dont do anything that will keep me from getn on a department so i dont do social media... just stuff like this. i would be happy to give u my number though, ive helped several ppl set-up blower cars and n/a projects. i dont know everything, but i know a lil..(lynard skynard quote..lol).

also, the other main difference is the intake. its not down on asmuch power as u think...

you may just be out of tune.once you get it running properly u should see some of your missing power. also i had a hard time with my dipstick because of my headers.i ended up using a flexible one.
