Gear problem help.

I have been installing 3.73 gears and ran into a problem. While putting them back together the two of the four gears that the pin holds fell out and I can't seem to get them back in. I have the ring and the spindle in and need to do that so I can stick the axels in and put the c clamps in. Thanks if I'm not clear I can get some pictures once I get out.

Do I have to get that clip out? In scared if I take it out I won't be able to get it back in.

I suppose you are talking about the spider gears?
Are you following directions from a manual or gear install article?
Pictures would be good.

Re: Gear problem help.

That's the S-Clip and it has to stay in there the spider gear cross shaft runs through it.

If the axles are installed and the C-Clips are on them, pull out on both axles as far as they will go to ensure you have enough room to slip the spider gears back into place.
Don't forget the spider gear cupped washers.
Put some Loctite on the threads of the cross pin bolt that holds the cross shaft into place.

It should look like this installed.
