Heat and air problem

Until just before winter all this worked fine but all of a sudden I tried to change from defrost to vent and nothing happened. It won't change to floor, mix, vent, or anything other than defrost. I've never had to work on a vacuum system before but everyone says it sounds like a vacuum leak. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Vacuum switches/controls are stuck or not getting vacuum, or your heat/AC duct work air flow directing flaps are stuck.

I'd probably remove the controls and verify that they are working properly and go from there.
A Chiltons or Hayne's manual might help in disassembly and testing.

Yes it is, and you're welcome. Glad I could "indirectly" help.
