95 stang

My 95 mustang will not start unless I use starting fluid. Please help

no efi checked tps .99 volts closed new maf engine on a total rebuild have spark to plugs,pulse to injectors will only run with starting fluid

you need to check fuel pressure.make sure your getting fuel and the proper pressure. can you hear the pump kick on when you turn the key?

then i would check the pip in the distributor next.

was it running before and after rebuild?or are you on initial startup?

have you set your timing?

If all the mandatory requirements are in place(air, fuel, fire), the timing or plug wire placement could be to blame. Also I believe 38psi is a tad on the low side, but should start.

Fuel pressure should be 38-40 psi at idle with the vacuum line removed and plugged.


The factory fuel pressure regulator is not adjustable.
You have to buy an aftermarket to get an adjustable regulator.


I doubt a regulator from a 4.6 will physically fit.
