Ford Blue?

You know the Super Victor is a high RPM intake and you will need a bottom end, heads and valvetrain to match its capabilities don't you?
Just asking because on a relatively stock engine it will be a slug on low end.

The engine will run better with an intake that is better matched to the mods you have.
The choice is entirely yours to make.
I think the Weiand Stealth might be a better choice for you.
It has an RPM range of idle-6800.

Do u think the super victor will work when we build the windsor to a 393ci/408ci. Not sure witch one we are going with. If the victor will work we'll hold on to it so we can use it later.

It will work better, but you still need to add supporting components.
Build the bottom end to handle some revs.
I'd use the Edelbrock Victor heads and a cam matched to the RPM range so everything supports or works together.
Those components will make you a nasty little stroked 351W.
Probably in the 400-600 HP range easily.

Thanks great info! When we build the stroker we are plannin on going with edelbrock heads to match. I guess I'll just hold onto the intake for now.

You can use it if you wish, just realize the car will be a bit sluggish on the bottom end.

We're lookin into other options for intakes for the stock engine. Lookin at the edelbrock performer rpm or either the performer 351w. Not much difference in price. The rpm goes 6500rpm the other only 5500rpm. Like I said its a stock engine.

What u want to look at is where it starts making power.for instance if is 3500-7000 then it is more for racing.if it is 1500-6000 it will be better on the street.by better on the street I mean more power down low.

Yeah, I realize this now after dropping over$300 on a super victor intake. The performer rpm is rated from 1,500rpm - 6,500rpm.

That's why I like the Stealth intake so much, it has a 0-6800 range.
From the lowest bottom end and up into Victor intake territory at the upper end.
It covers a wider RPM range than almost any other intake available.

A lil update on the project. We got the engine and everything installed. Went with the weind stealth after a lil more research. Got every thing runnin. Did a test drive to check the trans and she shifts smooth! Pulling out the 7.5 tonight or tomorrow and installing the 8.8. Taking our time and making sure we don't forget anything.
