Whats the difference???

Does anyone know the difference between 5 lug and having a 4 lug on a 92 ford mustang fox body? And what are the. Advantages of having a 5 lug and The disadvantages of having a 4 lug? I currently have a 4 lug that came with The car I just bought

Another thing I just put some spintech mufflers on it but I want it to sound louder. Would u guys think by adding the cold air intek and cams really make a big difference in sound? My car only has bbk headers and the spintech mufflers. It's a little project car I have

The difference is 1 lug nut.

With 5 lug you have many more wheel choices to select from and 5 lug is stronger than 4 lug, therefore they are less likely to be sheared off if you are drag racing with a high powered engine and drag slicks.

No, the CAI and cam change won't make a big difference in sound.
You will have to use a different muffler to get louder.
Check out the Spintech race mufflers or Flowmaster 10's for louder exhaust.
Just remember, louder draws more attention and not all attention is good.

@Trojan Horse thanks for the info. But the spintech mufflers that I have are the 9000 supper pro street. Yes ur absolutely right about having loud mufflers draws a lot of attention especially out here in California the cops get excited pulling people over with loud mufflers. 1 more question I was looking into putting an x pipe or h pipe what would u recomend?

The H-Pipe will gain you a bit more low end power and it has a deeper tone.

The X-Pipe will gain you a bit more upper end power and it has a raspier tone.

I prefer the H-Pipe myself.

Wouldn't the difference actually be 4 nuts?

My 1st thought was, "The difference is 1 is stock(4lug) and one is not!

With the rest of what you added, 'nuff said...

Got 2 nuts wouldn't recommend anymore might get a little weird. Haha Trojans got you in that one if I were you I'd convert to a 5 lug for the diversity.
