If you keep the boost low you can run a turbo on stock.but when you get into full HCI upgrade and turbo you are start breaking the threshhold of the stock block.but some people can get away with more as long as its properly tuned.that is the main thing.but something like the.boss 302 block can handle much more, which is why its a good choice for high hp.

Yes. Forged Internals would be ideal. I would say just get a block and start there cast block is okay, but you not going to only want 5lbs all the time.

Just get a boss block, $1579(from LMR) dss stroker 331 kit. $1100. Fuel system complete. Not sure on price. Holly system max intake. Tk600 or c4. Rebuild rear end. Suspension. Then a turbo I would prefer turbonetics the turbin alone would be about $1200 (gnx) I believe. Piping and intercooler roughly $3500-$5000 for complete. I'm prolly missing some things but basically it's going to be around $10,000 or less for a good build to put down some great numbers. Capability of about 800hp to a 1000hp not saying you need that but 600hp all day.
