header bolts

I need some header bolts for my 302. I have bbk shorty header I got from my cousin and he reused his bolts for his long tubes. Can any one tell me what length and size I need. Also do I need locking bolts or just regular ones? Thanks!

I prefer the 3/8" x 1" bolts in stainless steel with the 5/16" 12-point head.
Locking bolts are nice and will prevent your header bolts from loosening up, but they can be pricey.

No, they will work, I just prefer the 1/4" longer bolts, especially in aluminum heads.

That's what I had to buy the longer header bolts , out of the 16 bolts I used 14 of them lol I had to use 2 of the bbk header bolts because of the way the tubing was!
