Re: Jr Windsor heads

Windsor Jr??? I know people call them by either name, but you mean World Products??

As I recall, and I may be wrong... Those are IRON heads... The typical aftermarket GT40 is aluminum(Ford did make them in iron as well). Big weight penalty for "OE" heads. Splurge... get a set of TFS or AFR's... Almost any aluminum head will be better in the long run.

The GT40 head is okay, but there are several better choices available. No iron head will be best overall, unless you're building a class specific engine OR you want the world to think you are using stock heads.

Without knowing much about them I'd say the Twisted Wedge heads have most of the advantage. Being aluminum they are lighter and easier to modify or repair if needed.

Re: Jr Windsor heads

Twisted Wedge also have better flow characteristics and larger valves on the intake side... 2.02 vs 19.4, allowing more effective use of its smaller runner. In that contest, no question about it for me. I don't like added weight, particularly ahead of the driver.
