flywheel

Is it worth the extra money for an aluminum flywheel? I am doing a t5 conversion was wondering if anyone could tell me from experience?

From what I have researched they are best suited to road race cars.
A good billet flywheel will serve for a street strip car.

I had a billet steel flywheel in my car and loves it. Much better than stock and better than aluminum for street use.

Why dont you guys like lightweight flywheels? Is it the chatter, the loss of momentum off the start, or the faster revs? Ive had lightweight flywheels in all my previous cars and absolutely loved it. Just curious why their advised against for mustangs

The light ones are great and help the engine rev. The heavier flywheels make shifting a little easier for street use and are more durable for the stop and go lifestyle.
