car wont stay running - Mustang Evolution

car wont stay running

Just got my exhaust finished and never had a problem before now the car falls on its flooding itself out. Then I got it started and it died again. Now when trying to start it the pos battery cable started smoking need help please?

It's a long shot.. But maybe you grounded out a wire somewhere? Shouldn't be a problem since you just did exhaust...

Its runs fine till it gets warm basically then it spits and sputters and dies now im stranded on the side of the road about a half hour from home lol ugh this is frustrating

If it is over fueling your fuel pressure regulator may have failed.


The battery cable is probably smoking because of excessive cranking.
The starter draws a lot of amperage and if you just keep cranking on it and it does not start the cable is going to get hot.
If it gets too hot it will ruin the cable and it will need to be replaced.

Cable is still lol I figured it out I think.... I changed the coil and it seems to be running fine now.
