Never heard of that before.
There was something called the D-2-1 shuffle or something like that.
It was supposed to hold it in gear for drag racing I think.
Maybe Google search and find some old posts on it?

Yes, they were doing it to stock AOD's.
However, be forewarned that it will cut down on the life of your transmission.

When I took my car to the track with the aod I learned a little trick. Put it in first, stall it up then launch it when the light turns green. Let the rpms go up to wherever you want to shift at, bump it up into drive and once you feel it shift up(leave your finger on the button) yank it back down into first while your still mashing the gas that will be second gear and it will stay there until you bump it back up into drive and that will be third gear.

Oh no no, not all the time. Like Trojan said its not the best on your trans, I only do that if I goto the track. My aod is on its way out anyways but mine will do the same thing, feels like it shifts way to early.

Yup, that's it. What I don't understand is why he's letting off the gas when he does it in that video. That will def tear your trans up in a hurry. I always just left the gas mashed in mine when I was at the track.
