My 95 5.0 was idling a little ruff, I started by checking the air filter to see if it may be clogged. To my surprise the filter was twisted like a pretzel. I changed the filter and the Idle Control valve. Now the car is idling worse.... Also while in idle the lights are dimming in and out and the gauges are fluttering.... Please help

Check your EGR valve and vacuum lines.
The lights may dim and gauges flutter if the idle goes to low.

whats up bro.

im still thinking your UD pulleys may be causing some issues.but the experts will be here soon was it doing this when you first charged the battery?the reason i ask is maybe if you charge the battery again and it quits doing it for a while then you know you are having charging issues.also you can put a meter on the battery.you should get 12.5 volts not running and 14.4ish running.

oh wait, the expert beat me to the punch.

Well the car was running pretty good the last few weeks, there was just a slight idle issue when I first fire up the car so I thought I would try and get it nailed. Now its actually worse than ever

It's probably had enough time to build up some carbon inside.
Just make sure it operates fully and there are no leaks.
Sometimes the replacements you get are not of the best quality too.

P.S. If you have never changed out the O-rings and caps on your injectors, now might be a good time to do that and make sure none were ever left stuck inside the fuel rails and the intake ports.
A vacuum leak around them can cause idle problems too.
