poly locks sheered off

So I have the trickflow street burner kit which I love on my 302 bored .030 over and this is the second time this happened. First time it happen ( cyl 3 exhaust valve) when I was building the motor it broke over night so I thought it was a bad one so I ordered a new one and installed it.. Didnt think noting of it.Now since I have some miles on the motor it started chattering so I thought it was time to adjust them( this happened last week) and today I took the valve cover off and found it sheered off just like before. This time on cyl 7 intake valve. I'm just wonder if anyone has seen and problems like this. I just don't want to be driving and one breaks on me.

First pic is motor in car second pic is when it happen on the engine stand..

Re: poly locks sheered off

You are probably over tightening the set screws. If not then you received a defective set with inferior materials.

Amen my friend.

The only pressure on the poly locks at that point is what is put on them with the set screws.
